Shipping

How long is delivery? 

Current delivery dates: 

UK Mainland - delivery by Saturday  28th October 

Which courier do you use? 

We send all of our shipments via Royal Mail services

Can I change my shipping address once ive placed an order? 

Due to security reasons, the order can only be sent to the registered delivery address on the order.

What are your holiday delivery times? Deliveries times will vary over Bank Holiday Weekends and UK Public Holidays. In order to ensure delivery for a specific date we recommend ordering as far in advance as possible however we will always advertise our current live turn around.

 Can I track my order? 

 If you are based within the UK, Yes, we send all of our shipments via a tracked service. At this time, tracking information can not be distributed manually through the production stages but you will receive an email as soon as your order is on its way to you. Our shipments are 1-2 days so you may only receive confirmation of shipment as late as Thursday evening as our guaranteed delivery dates are always Saturdays. 

I live outside of the UK can I still place an order? 

I have made the very hard decision to put a halt to international shipments to the rest of the world until further notice. As a small business, Covid-19 is having a detrimental effect on international shipping times and on top of the inflated shipping prices which I hate to charge and multiple shipments going missing over the last few months. It is damaging me both mentally and financially. I apologise for the inconvenience, I will be back one day.

Do you accept refunds?

Unfortunately we are unable to accept refunds on any item that complies with being made-to-measure

What if I decide I don't like what I ordered when I receive it? 
Ordering online before trying or seeing it in person first can be very daunting. We offer a fabric sample service so that you are able to see our fabric before committing to an order. In the event that the style you ordered and received is not to your taste, we can rework your design for you. If no extra fabric is needed this will be free of charge, if the rework requires more fabric then there will be a small fee.

Can I not just order standard sizing? And If I don't like it, send it back?

The service that we offer to our clients is a bespoke one, all items, whether we hand make them to standard UK sizing or to individual measurements - we still make each garment from scratch with fabric we purchase after the point of sale per order. We want you to give as much information about your sizing and special requests so that you are completely in love with the end result

I received a faulty item, what can be done?

We are always completely gutted if we ever receive an email of this kind, as it means we have mistakenly made and missed a human error through the production stages which we apologise for if this is ever the case. Please notify us of any faults at your earliest convenience and we will gladly rectify any mistakes ensuring that your order is re-handled with priority. We will refund you your original postage paid for the inconvenience and also cover the additional postage to send your order back for correction.

Alterations

I received my order and it needs amending, what do I do? 

In the off chance that you require an alteration please complete your alterations form included in your package with your invoice and send your order back to:

Are all alterations free?

MOST alterations comply with our free alterations service and we will try to accommodate as best we can to ensure you are happy with the finished garment at no extra cost than the original price.

I took the wrong measurement for my waist to floor/shoulder to floor/waist to hem, and my order is too short - what can be done?

In the event that you provide us with a wrong measurement that is shorter than what is actually needed, there will be a 'remake' fee to cover the cost of the additional fabric we will need to buy to replace your fishtail skirt/your trousers/skirt. Please see our checklist below

I want to buy my Bridesmaid dresses from you but I am worried about sizing for all my bridesmaids as the wedding is in 8 months?

We understand It is hard enough buying for yourself, let alone 3/4/5+ girls and for an occasion that is months down the line - Alterations for bridesmaid dress do not have a time limit on them and there is no limit as to how many times they can be sent to us to tweak

Waist to floor increase -  £30 for new pants
Shoulder to floor increase - £30-£40 depending on length increase 
Skirt length reduction - FREE
Skirt lengthening - £20 for new skirt

there will be no fee for us to correct our mistake*


Sizing

How do I measure myself?

To find your BUST measurement: Wrap the tape measure all the way around your back and over the fullest area of your bust to find the fullest circumference. 


To find your WAIST measurement: Wrap the tape measure all the way around your waistline where you are naturally narrowest 


 To find your BUM measurement: Wrap the tape measure all the way around your lower hips/bum where you are naturally widest


To find your SHOULDER TO FLOOR measurement: Stand tall, while wearing a heel of the same height you intend to wear, drop the tape measure down your back or down your underarm to the floor to find your desired length (you will need assistance)


To find your WAIST TO FLOOR measurement: Stand tall, while wearing a heel of the same height you intend to wear, hold the tape measure at your waistline and measure down to the floor to find your desired length (you will need assistance)

Do you have somewhere where I can come and get measured? 

We unfortunately do not offer this service at this time as we are an online company. We are more than happy to offer any further assistance with measuring if needed via email - help@hausofjb.com

What does 'waist to hem' mean?

if you are ordering either a dress or a set with a midi/mini skirt, you are able to tell us exactly how long you would like the full length of your skirt to be. Measure from your waistline down to the desired length.


Fabrics & Colour options

How does it work with picking a fabric/colour for my order?

If you would like to have your garment made in a fabric/colour that is not shown in the image examples on each product page, please check the 'Fabric Suitability' under each product

Can my order be made in any colour I want or are there certain colours to choose from?

You can select any colour from the suitable fabric for the garment you want us to make

Are your fabrics see through?We line all of our garments using a 'double layered' technique which prevents them from being see through. Our Scuba, Scuba Crepe and Slinky Glitters are all naturally thick fabrics before we adopt this technique, our new Metallics, Silk and Soft stretches are our thinner lightweight fabric, but although thinner than the above fabrics, they are not see through and are of good quality. We must advise to be cautious about the colour of underwear worn under lighter colours like our White / Ivory White soft/silk stretch may be seen slightly if you wear a contrasting colour 

How do I know which fabrics can be used for which designs? 

Below each product where you will place your order you will find a tab that reads 'Fabric Suitability' this will tell you which of our fabrics that the design you have selected can be made in

I want to order a fabric that is showing as out of stock, can you tell me when it will be back please?

We unfortunately can not provide restock dates for ANY of our fabrics because our suppliers are unable to provide us with the information. If you would like to subscribe to our emails we will send out emails when our 'out of stock' fabrics come back in to stock

If I have ordered an item of clothing from you on a previous date and I would like to buy another now, can you guarantee an exact colour match?

All of our fabrics are dyed to colour at our suppliers and as much as they try to get an exact match each time, sometimes it is not possible so there may be slight variations in the shade which is out of our control. However, the colour will always represent the colour that is being advertised. 

Bridesmaid

I want to order my Bridesmaid dresses from you but I dont know my bridesmaid's measurements yet, is there a way I can secure an order without providing measurements? 

Certainly, please visit our sister website www.bridesmaidbyjb.com if you have chosen your design you can input 'HAVENT TAKEN YET' in each field and then add the quantity of dresses that you need to your basket

I love a certain style of dress on your website but some of my girls are saying they wouldn't be comfortable in it, do you have any suggestions? 

We fully understand that certain styles might not be to everyones tastes and we are able to accommodate for this. You are able to mix and match styles or we can make any of our long fishtail styles with a looser fitting skirt. E.g if you have 4 bridesmaid and two would rather a more floaty style skirt and two would like a fishtail skirt you could have the top the same design and the fabric for consistency and then have two different style skirts to suit your girls.   


PR & Events

Do you work with Influencers? 

We are always flattered when we are contacted to work with influencers. 

We would be happy to work with profiles who have an organic following with content that is relatable and engaging

Having a high follow count is not an essential, we are more interested in the quality of content that is being produced on your feed and if your followers are invested in you and value your opinions

Do you have any intention to open a shop?

Having a retail premises is not something that is on our vision board at this time. With the current economic climate and buyer trends changing drastically towards online, it would not be feasible to move in that direction right now. We make everything to measure so there wouldn't really be anything to 'shop' per say. HOWEVER we are going to research into holding pop-up shops around the UK to show physical samples of our designs and fabrics to feel and maybe have 'ready-to-wear' garments to shop from
